Skynet Launches Agents and Database: AI Workers With a Place to Remember
SAN FRANCISCO: Skynet today launched two products: Agents, which carry out work rather than answering questions about it, and Database, which gives that work somewhere to persist.
Agents
An agent combines several Skills, works with Chat and Databases, and runs on demand, on a schedule, or from a trigger. Scheduled agents can run several times a day, so recurring work (weekly reporting, support triage, pipeline hygiene, competitive monitoring) happens without anyone starting it.
The difference from a chatbot is where the task ends. A chatbot returns an answer and leaves the work to you. An agent does the work and reports what it changed.
Database
Agents that forget everything between runs are of limited use. Database gives Skynet structured information that persists: records you can edit yourself or through Chat, and that agents can write, update, and remove.
Several agents can share one Database, so the agent that researches an account and the agent that drafts the follow-up are working from the same record rather than two separate guesses.
