Survey: Teams Report a 70% Efficiency Gain After Moving to Skynet

The work that disappeared

Asked what specifically got shorter, respondents pointed at the same three things.

Re-explaining context. In a multi-tool stack, every tool starts from zero. The project, the customer, the constraints, the tone: all of it gets typed again in each window. With one shared memory layer, that happens once.

Choosing and switching tools. Deciding which assistant handles a task, then moving the output between them by hand, is pure overhead. Routing removes the decision; a single workspace removes the transfer.

Work that only ran when someone remembered. Weekly reports, triage passes, and status roll-ups have a real cost that is invisible because it is spread across everyone’s Friday. Moving them onto scheduled agents removed them from people’s calendars entirely.

Efficiency showed up as reclaimed hours, not shorter tasks

The reported gain was concentrated in recurring work rather than one-off work. One-off tasks got moderately faster. Recurring tasks frequently went to zero human minutes, which is what moves an average that far.

That has a practical implication for anyone evaluating the number: the return depends less on how much AI a team uses than on how much of its repeated work it puts on a schedule.
